Effectiveness of allergy shots

Are allergy shots effective?

Well it depends on whom you speak to. Doctors who administer these shots claim they have a 100% success rate in curing allergies. Patients who receive the shots and spend thousands of dollars say the therapy sucks and is a scam.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. The allergy shots only work against a few allergens like pollen, animal dander, mites and mold. The relief is not always permanent. There is no way in this world that doctors could possibly make you immune to all the muck in the environment- so be realistic when you seek this therapy.

If you do not have money, do not bother and you won't lose anything, If you have money, get a second opinion from a patient who has undergone this treatment. Remember, medicine is a business and doctors scam patients just like car mechanics. Do not for one second think that all doctors are ethical in how they conduct themselves.
