I twisted my left ankle 4 days ago and can hardly weight bear and need
crutches. My doctor says there is nothing broken. Will ice help?
Ice is a very useful therapy for swollen joints. One can apply ice
for 20-30 mins every 4-6 hours for about 2-3 days. Ice only works when used
right after the injury. The best way to heal the ankle is to rest for several
days after a sprain injury. After 4 days of an ankle injury, ice is best used to cool down your Coca Cola or Pepsi-wont do any good on your joint.
