Recently I was recommended Prolipo for treatment of my
cellulite. Does this work?
Everyone is trying to suck fat from the body with innovative methods. While liposuction remains the gold standard and works well, many other crappy treatments have been developed and one of them is prolipo. Prolipo does not involve any major surgery but is performed with a laser. The laser is fired at the fat pockets and the fat dissolves.
The vendors of this therapy recommend use of lasers. The very fine hollow laser fibers are inserted into the fat pockets. The heat generated then dissolves the fat which is then removed from the body. The manufacturers of ProLipo claim that in addition to removing fat, the heat from the laser also induces remodeling of collagen fibers which results in tightening of skin. The eventual result is a well-contoured skin, which is smooth, soft and much younger looking (how many times have we heard this same story again and again!)

hogwash. Do you believe that any laser can selectively dissolve fat and make it
disappear? What shit!
