Penlac for fungal infection

I have been prescribed ciclopirox for a fungal infection. it is very expensive. Is there an alternative agent?

There is a generic version available. just ask your doctor. It is called penlac. It is a complete waste of your money. I definitely do not recommend it. It is often prescribed for finger and toe nail infections. Does jack shit. You can apply it all your life and nothing will happen. For nail infections, the medications simply are not able to penetrate the nail tissues and you have to take the darn medications for months. For severe nail infections, i recommend removal of the nail. The new nail will grow back and look nicer.
