Warts on the vulva

What treatment do you recommend for warts on my vulva. I am a 23 year old female.

If you are not pregnant, the best treatment is podofilox. Do not confuse this with podophyllum resin, which is no longer available in the USA. Podofilox is available as a gel or a solution and applied twice a day for 3 days. Most people need treatment for several weeks. Side effects are common which include pain and a burning sensation. The medication can be applied at home. The downside- it is quite expensive and there is 20% chance of recurrence. Most other topical treatments are even more expensive and have similar recurrence rates.

You may try cryotherapy-a poor man's treatment but it will take many months (and many sessions) to erase the warts. Plus, each time you have to expose your vagina in the clinic to healthcare workers-because you cannot apply liquid nitrogen at home.
